Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women
Activists aim to have women
participate in all aspects of life. They set global standards to achieve gender
equality. The organization works with governments and civil society to design
laws, policies, programs and services needed to implement these standards. Their
desire is to improve resources and accountability on gender equality in various
countries. This way it will make gender equality the central for development
planning.
The agency reaches out to
increase women's leadership and participation regardless of the area. It
educates on the ending of violence against women, therefore ending the circle
of violence in the family ambiance as well. It tries to engage women in all
aspects of peace and security processes. This would include an array of people
helping out the cause with no distinction of gender and sex.
